| hi all.
Just a quick note to anybody who is thinking of buying Kris Wheatley"s LEGACY - HEROES OF RORKE"S DRIFT SERIES .Of which there are 6 volumes , vol 7 i think is out end of August, BUY THEM !!!!, what happens to these guys after they leave the army, in regards to their families, working life, health etc, is i found , fascinating reading, thanks to pete ( admin) for persuading me to purchase them ! . I am up to number 4, hope to start 5 tomorrow night.

| I’m glad you like them. It’s the in-depth research that makes these books stand out from the rest. Its one thing reading a name in the history books, but its another thing when is comes to telling the story behind the name. |

Well said, i can imagine Kris would have spent WEEKS looking at census documents and other archival records, for maybe only 1
of these men, let alone how long it would have taken her to research the 50 or 60 odd soldiers, that have been researched at this time.
I dont know if she gets the recognition she most certainly deserves, but, lets hope so, do women recieve knighthood's ?. Here is a prime candidate from my way of thinking !!.
