Witnesses to Isandlwana, set to release sometime next year through Fonthill Media. Authors are Neil Thornton and myself. This is going to be the most complete compilation of participant accounts, testimonies and interviews published to date.

Michael,

You’ve got to have that incorrect rank insignia changed…

Michael,

Not to hand but I have these of the 21st R.S.F.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
This relates to the previous Colour-Sergeant insignia, but see what it states for the serge frock.

This Colour-Sergeant of the 58th (Rutlandshire) Regiment is wearing the tunic, which shows the rank insignia worn in full dress.

All photographs from the John Young Collection.

I have just received my copy of this book on Friday and I would like to say a very big "WELL DONE" to Neil and Michael for their efforts in pulling this together.
It is long overdue and I have already used it a couple of times since it arrived.

It will be the go to book for research into the battle and for comparing different survivors accounts.
Well recommended and a must have for anyone interested in the Anglo Zulu War.
Well done both, a great job. (Nice to see Alan on the back cover as well Wink )
